It is recommended that you (or someone) check the sealant on your roof and slide outs once every six months for gaps, peeling, shrinkage etc. Just a small opening can lead to a BIG and COSTLY problem. The slide out (photo at right) had to be completely rebuilt due to water getting in through a gap in the sealant. There was no evidence of water damage inside until it was too late. The Customer noticed a soft spot on the floor - upon further investigation, the wood was rotten throughout. His Insurance company would not pay for this as it was deemed a "maintenance item". It is also recommended that you check all of your seals - along the sidewalls, windows etc. Country RV will inspect your unit at no charge.
